Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Maintenance Manager in San Jose, CA to lead a high-performing team, ensure adherence to standards, and assist with maintenance and market-ready apartments. You will analyze property performance and report on status while coordinating with the Community and Property Manager.

The role requires hands-on maintenance expertise across plumbing, electrical, appliances, and HVAC, plus knowledge of housing laws.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, appliances, and HVAC.
• EPA Section 608 Type I and Type II or Universal certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle if required.
• English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Willingness to work weekends and respond to emergencies.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Smartphone use for work tasks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Community Manager to meet property objectives.
• Ensure the team adheres to Equity standards and handles resident requests.
• Assist with maintenance tasks and prepare market-ready apartments.
• Analyze data from property management systems and advise on financial concerns.
• Collaborate on capital improvements and oversee inventory.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and provide status reports.
