Job summary

The Housing Authority of Versailles is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Assistant to support maintenance operations across residential units and common areas. You will assist in upkeep, repairs, and turnover, and help ensure properties remain safe, clean, and habitable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in residential, commercial, or public housing.
• Knowledge of general building maintenance and repair practices.
• Ability to operate maintenance tools safely and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit turnover and make-ready repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on residential units, buildings, and grounds.
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Respond to work orders and document time and work performed.
• Support inspections and maintain records of materials used.
