Job summary

HomeWorks Energy in Massachusetts is seeking an HVAC Service Technician I to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential systems, including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and ductless units. You’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and commission new installations while delivering excellent customer service.

The role includes selling HVAC replacements, documenting work orders, and collaborating with sales and installation teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Section 608 Certification.
• OSHA 10.
• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician with residential focus.
• Experience with ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, smart thermostats, and high efficiency boiler systems.
• CRM software experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation issues in residential HVAC systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on residential HVAC systems.
• Conduct system start-up commissioning for newly installed HVAC units.
• Assess need for HVAC replacements during service visits and provide replacement estimates.
• Explain technical problems and solutions clearly to customers and document all service work.
