Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is seeking an HVAC Service Technician I to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems. You will perform routine PMs, start-up commissioning on new installations, and assist customers with energy-efficient solutions.

This full‑time role offers overtime eligibility and commission/bonus incentives. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of HVAC experience, EPA 608, OSHA 10, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• NATE certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
• Experience with residential HVAC systems, including ductless systems and heat pumps.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, and refrigerant handling.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation issues in residential HVAC systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and seasonal tune-ups.
• Conduct system start-up commissioning for newly installed HVAC units.
• Assess replacement options and provide detailed estimates.
• Explain technical issues and energy-saving options to customers clearly.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and follow safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with sales and installation teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
