Job summary

Astra Air & Repair, a Houston-based residential HVAC and maintenance company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and service HVAC systems across occupied properties. This hands-on role requires independence, clear communication, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

You will document work, coordinate with property managers and team members, and uphold safety standards while delivering professional service.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
3+ years of residential maintenance and/or HVAC experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
EPA Section 608 certification when performing work requiring certification.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet Astra's driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform residential HVAC diagnostics, preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations.
Troubleshoot service issues and identify appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
Complete assigned work orders accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Astra's service and quality standards.
Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and materials used.
Coordinate with property managers, maintenance coordinators, leadership, vendors, and other team members.
Provide professional and respectful service while working in occupied homes.
