Job summary

Harris County seeks a skilled HVAC Technician to repair and maintain building equipment and machinery across facilities. You may supervise contractors or fabricate/install HVAC components under supervision. Must ensure licensure documentation and maintain quality across sites.

Role requires five years of hands-on HVAC experience in commercial/industrial settings, EPA certification, and a valid Texas driver’s license. On-call duties and emergency deployment may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs and maintains equipment and machinery by troubleshooting and diagnosing service problems per instructions, blueprints, manuals, and all building codes.
• Estimates cost factors for labor and material, and determines requirements for fabricating, installing, testing, start-up, and servicing HVAC equipment.
• May be required to drive a personal or county vehicle to various work sites.
• Assists and trains less experienced coworkers and performs other duties as assigned.
• Will be on-call after hours as part of a weekly rotation.
