Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Porter/Gatekeeper in Louisville, KY to maintain the property's common areas and assist with general maintenance needs. You will be customer-centric, with initiative and attention to detail, and work in a collegiate environment.

Responsibilities include grounds upkeep, lighting and irrigation maintenance, pool/spa care, seasonal plantings, and safety compliance. The role requires mobility, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for after-hours and weekend duties.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with one year of lawn/grounds experience.
• Able to read instructions and document labor/materials.
• punctuality, dependability, and deadline-driven with after-hours/weekend flexibility.
• Valid driver's license.
• Stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Job location is at the assigned property.
• On-call capacity except during approved PTO.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property per SOP/OSHA/standards.
• Perform physically demanding maintenance to minimize liability.
• Remove trash and debris from common areas.
• Sweep and remove debris from curbs, parking areas, walkways, stairways.
• Maintain and repair loose stairwell treads and exterior lighting.
• Maintain lawns: mow, trim beds, rake leaves, prune as directed.
• Apply weed and feed; top seed and water as needed.
• Install seasonal plantings, shrubs, trees, rocks, and water features.
• Trim/prune trees and shrubs; maintain irrigation and fountains.
• Clean pool and spa per specs; repair pool equipment as directed.
• Know emergency procedures and gas/water shutoffs; accessibility to cleanouts.
• Promote safety to limit property loss; keep drainage grills clear.
• Assist in snow removal; undertake training; maintain uniform and appearance.
