Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Porter/Gatekeeper to maintain the common areas at The Grove at San Marcos, San Marcos, TX. You will be responsible for cleaning, upkeep and assisting with maintenance tasks to keep the property in top condition.

We value initiative, attention to detail and reliability. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. This role supports a collegiate-style, resident-focused community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or trade school) and one year of full-time experience in lawn/grounds maintenance or equivalent
• Efficient reading of instructions and documenting labor and materials
• Punctuality, dependability, and ability to work under deadlines; after-hours and weekend emergencies may be required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to stand 8 hours or more and lift up to 100 lbs as needed

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property per SOPs and standards
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain the asset and related features
• Remove trash and debris from common areas continuously
• Sweep and remove debris from curbs, parking areas, walkways and stairs
• Maintain and repair exterior lighting and irrigation systems as needed
• Mow lawns, trim planting beds, rake leaves, and manage landscaping tasks
• Assist in snow removal and training as required
• Keep a professional appearance and uniform as required
