Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Porter/Gatekeeper at The Parlor in San Marcos, Texas. This on-site position focuses on maintaining common areas, performing general maintenance tasks, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across indoor and outdoor spaces.

Ideal candidates are reliable, with attention to detail and the ability to work weekends or after-hours as needed. Entry-level experience in lawn/grounds maintenance is valued, and the role requires a valid driver’s license and physical ability

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs, OSHA and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain assets and other property features.
• Remove trash and debris from common areas on a continuous basis.
• Sweep and remove debris from curbs, parking areas, walkways and stairways as scheduled.
• Maintain and repair loose stairwell treads.
• Repair exterior lighting by replacing bulbs and reporting inventory.
• Mow lawns, trim beds, rake leaves and remove debris from landscaped areas.
• Apply weed and feed to lawn areas; top seed and water as needed.
• Install seasonal plantings, replacement shrubs/trees, decorative rock and water features.
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs as directed.
• Maintain irrigation and fountain systems; perform minor pool equipment maintenance.
• Know emergency procedures and how to engage shutoff valves for water and gas, access sewer cleanouts and fuse panels.
• Promote safety to limit property loss or injury to residents and visitors.
• Keep drainage grills clear of leaves.
• Assist in snow removal when required.
• Undertake job-related training as needed.
• Maintain a professional uniform and appearance.
