Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Developmental Specialist to support individuals with mental health needs, IDD, or SUD to achieve personal goals. You will assess desires, assist with community participation, and promote self-determination in daily life.

You will document progress, coordinate transportation, support safety procedures, and help with home routines; sleeping overnight shifts may be required as part of residential service delivery.

Formación

• Experience working with individuals with a mental health diagnosis, IDD, or SUD (not required).
• High school diploma required.

Responsabilidades

• Assess people for hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports to facilitate achievement.
• Support people in developing relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist people in participating fully in their community according to interests.
• Protect and promote rights; assist in advocacy and use of personal advocates.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Foster person-centered, constructive relationships that promote self-determination.
• Input into assessment and planning processes and develop individual plans.
• Document progress and complete required documentation (goals, actions, incidents, timesheets).
• Complete daily progress notes and communication logs to track appointments and goals.
• Assist with day-to-day home operations: housekeeping, meals, laundry, shopping, etc.
• Arrange for or provide transportation as required.
• Support emergency procedures and safety; conduct drills and ensure safety in community.
• Coach new staff and provide orientation and training.
• Sleepovers at residential settings may be required.
• Attend meetings and trainings; maintain certifications.
• Follow policies and state/federal regulations; adhere to service definitions.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
