Job summary

Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Developmental Specialist for a residential program in Forest City, NC. Sleepovers may be required, and a valid driver’s license is needed.

You will participate in trainings, document progress, and assist with daily home operations while promoting person-centered planning and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with individuals who have mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities or substance use disorders preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess people to identify hopes, dreams and desires and provide supports.
• Help people build community relationships and natural supports.
• Assist with community participation aligned with interests and goals.
• Protect rights and promote advocacy and self-determination for individuals served.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
