Monarch Healthcare in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a part-time Developmental Specialist Residential to support people with mental health diagnoses, IDD, or substance use disorders in achieving personal goals.

You will assess hopes, support community involvement, assist with daily living tasks, document progress, and participate in training and meetings. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; relevant caregiving experience is valued.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver's License (USA).
• Experience with individuals who have mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to travel and participate in residential supports as needed.

• Assess people in identifying hopes, dreams, and supports to achieve goals.
• Help individuals build relationships in the community and with natural supports.
• Support full participation in community activities aligned with interests.
• Protect rights, promote advocacy, and develop personal advocacy skills.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Foster person-centered relationships and self-determination.
• Contribute to assessments, planning, and implementation of individualized plans.
• Complete documentation including goals, incidents, and timesheets.
• Assist with daily home operations: housekeeping, meals, laundry, and shopping.
• Drive or arrange transportation when required; travel as needed.
• Instruct emergency procedures and safety practices; conduct drills.
• Assist with staff orientation, mentoring, and training; may include sleepovers.
• Participate in meetings and trainings; maintain required certifications.
