Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee day-to-day construction of for‑sale residential communities in San Jose, CA.

You will manage projects from site work through handoff, ensure schedules, budgets, and quality meet standards, and coordinate with trade partners and inspectors. Five+ years in multifamily construction and a strong knowledge of both horizontal and vertical construction are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in multifamily residential construction for production or infill builds.
• Experience with townhomes and multi-story attached housing.
• Knowledge of horizontal site development and vertical construction.
• Ability to coordinate with municipalities, inspectors, and trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage horizontal and vertical construction activities, including scheduling and field coordination.
• Oversee subcontractors and trade partners with daily coordination and sequencing.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules and monitor progress.
• Lead preconstruction and project startup meetings and field reviews.
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure code compliance.
• Enforce safety programs and SWPPP requirements on site.
• Monitor budgets, review invoices, and manage change orders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with plans and homeowner commitments.
• Conduct quality inspections, manage punch lists, and pre-closing walk-throughs.
• Support warranty transitions and post-closing issue resolution.
