Job summary

City Ventures in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead day-to-day for-sale residential communities. You will run site work through vertical construction, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and top-quality finishes.

The role requires 5+ years in multi-family construction, strong leadership, and ability to coordinate with inspectors, trade partners and internal teams. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of running a multi-family (townhome) residential construction site.
• Experience with horizontal (site work) and vertical construction.
• Familiarity with Northern California Bay Area jurisdictions.
• Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
• Strong knowledge of California building codes, Cal/OSHA, and SWPPP.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage horizontal and vertical construction to deliver homes on time and on budget.
• Directly oversee trade partners and subcontractors on site.
• Develop and update construction schedules and communicate progress.
• Lead pre-construction meetings, orientations, and field reviews.
• Coordinate city inspections and permit requirements.
• Enforce Cal/OSHA safety and SWPPP compliance.
• Monitor budgets, review invoices, and manage change orders.
• Support handover to customer relations and warranty items as needed.
