Job summary

The Residences at Worldwide Plaza in New York, NY is seeking a dedicated concierge to safeguard the building and support residents. The role emphasizes vigilant security, courteous service, and efficient handling of deliveries and inquiries.

Primary duties include monitoring the lobby, screening visitors, coordinating with superintendents, and maintaining a professional, clean front desk environment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Review the log book and information at the start of each shift and log the date and time.
• Guard the lobby and monitor access to ensure security of residents and visitors.
• Screen all visitors, workmen, delivery personnel and verify credentials as required.
• Maintain a clean, orderly lobby and front desk at all times.
• Monitor the lobby continuously and avoid unnecessary back-room access.
• Do not sleep or be distracted while on front desk duty; stay alert.
• Limit personal phone use; keep it on vibrate and only for emergencies.
• Do not use front desk computer for personal tasks; prohibit residents from doing so too.
• Accept package deliveries and promptly notify the resident.
• Notify the Superintendent or handyman in emergencies; follow the listed emergency contacts.
• Do not leave the post unless relieved or doors are locked; display “Concierge Will Return Shortly” if stepping away.
• Ensure contractors are cleared with the Superintendent and that proof of insurance is on file.
• Record contractor entry/exit and require sign-in at front desk.
• Issue visitor name tags to all tradesmen.
• Do not discuss resident information or unit/building status; direct inquiries to the Superintendent or Property Manager.
