Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. Hillsboro, TX is hiring a Residential CDL Driver to safely and courteously collect waste and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes.

You will operate residential, side-load and rear-load trucks, performing pre- and post-trip inspections and maintaining accurate route documentation. This full-time role requires a CDL, high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of driving experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL license required; CDL school acceptable with driving experience.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and operate heavy trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling truck (side-load/ rear-load) and ancillary equipment on assigned routes.
• Load solid waste/recyclables; operate compactor equipment and perform daily checks.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and maintain route documentation.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor promptly and maintain route quality.
• Follow safety policies, manage helpers if applicable, and assist customers as needed.
