Job summary

The Independent Living Association (ILA) is seeking a Residence Supervisor for Brooklyn & SI, NY. The role reports to the Area Coordinator and oversees daily residence operations, staffing, staff development, and compliance with treatment plans and IDT recommendations.

You will supervise staff, maintain records, participate in disciplinary processes, and support community relations while ensuring high-quality person-centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental

Responsibilities

• Assuring for the initial and periodic (semiannually & annually) follow-up of the Individual’s programmatic & clinical assessment
• Conducts the IDT meeting and writes the minutes for the monthly Interdisciplinary Team Meeting (IDT)
• Staffing and staff supervision: responsible for proper and adequate staffing of the facility and directing the assistant supervisor
• Monitoring and directing staff responsible for daily operations of the physical plant
• Training, guiding and motivating staff in the implementation of Individual's treatment plans
• Ensuring that the recommendations of the IDT Team are carried out
• Supervising community relations and relations with the surrounding community
• Supervising the assistant supervisor in ordering, stocking, and maintenance of house supplies
• Completing performance evaluations of union staff and handling employee relations
• Participating in the agency’s progressive disciplinary program and in terminations
• Overseeing Active Treatment of Individuals via training, observation, and role modeling
• Attending conferences/training sessions; maintaining records and reports such as IDT/ISP minutes, plant checklists, PDR, staff evaluations
• Attending job/career fairs with HR Recruiter
