Job summary

The Independent Living Association (ILA) is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to provide psychological services for individuals in residential programs in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time role focuses on evaluating, planning, and coordinating behavioral interventions with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include drafting behavior plans, monitoring data, and coordinating with human rights and IDT committees.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Behavioral Intervention with OPWDD population.
• In-servicing staff about behavioral issues.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and committees.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individuals enrolled in ILA programs.
• Draft behavior plans and monitor data and psychiatric issues.
• Draft clinical presentations for HRC, ISP reviews, and IDT meetings.
• Interface with psychiatric, psychotherapy and psycho-sexual services when needed.
• Coordinate Human Rights information and documentation.
• Attend meetings as the individual’s advocate and represent clients.
