Job summary

The Independent Living Association (ILA) in Brooklyn seeks an Assistant Residence Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the residences and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience with the DD population.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be computer literate, detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to multi-task is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Care Counselors, Cook and Maintenance staff and ensure training is provided.
• Oversee residence operations and report to Area Coordinator.
• Manage employee relations and resolve staff issues.
• Ensure safety and sanitation in residences and maintain support services.
• Conduct performance evaluations for union staff.
