Job summary

YAI is seeking an Assistant Supervisor to lead a residential program in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY. The role focuses on supervision, staff training, and ensuring quality care in an interdisciplinary setting with ongoing support and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Some college preferred
• Direct Support Professional experience preferred
• Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health

Responsibilities

• Supervise a Residential IRA and provide staff training, mentoring, and supervision of 5-15 direct reports
• Provide program oversight and quality assurance while maintaining NYS regulations
• Oversee clinical programming and act as liaison with families
• Promote professional development through regular supervision, training and evaluations
• Maintain a harassment- and discrimination-free work environment and ensure staff morale
