Job summary

Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh seeks a Residential Advisor to support mission-driven care in a team-based residential setting. You will train and supervise DSPs/Sr. DSPs, ensure ISP adherence, and manage schedules, medical appointments, and meals while maintaining a safe, homelike environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social/human service field or two years Emmaus DSP/Senior DSP experience.
• Driver’s license and required clearances (Act 34, FBI) before date of hire.
• Strong writing skills and ability to lead a team by example.
• Good working knowledge of 6400 regulations, Chapter 6100 requirements.
• Experience with Therap, Makeshift, Paycom, and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all program and licensing related activities.
• Provide orientation, training, scheduling, mentoring, and supervision for DSPs and Sr. DSPs; model best practices.
• Ensure ISPs are implemented as written and monitor Therap for daily notes.
• Complete and update assessments, quarterlies, annuals, and SEE plans.
• Manage residents’ medical appointments and medication needs; collaborate with management.
• Oversee medication administration: orders, reorders, and MAR reviews.
• Organize program and medical information; file documentation timely.
• Assist staff in developing weekly menus meeting dietary requirements.
• Conduct regular team meetings to address household, resident, and staff issues.
• Coordinate resident activities including family visits, birthdays, holidays, & outings.
• Provide direct support coverage as needed and oversee home upkeep for safety.
• Report repairs to Facilities Manager and schedule monthly fire drills.
• Maintain on-call responsibilities and post schedules two weeks in advance; manage overtime.
