Job summary

Qualifications

• A working understanding of the helping profession.
• Must be at least 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the daily activities of the program participants.
• Assure compliance with the designated program schedule.
• Document the daily activities of the program participants in the electronic medical record.
• Facilitate and document non clinical groups under the direction of the program director.
• Utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques to assist with de-escalation of situations, ensuring resident, staff, and visitor safety.
• Implements the behavioral/level system where applicable.
• Assists in the accountability process.
• Assists with the initial assessment and receiving of new program participants.
• Working a flexible schedule, and consistently arriving to scheduled shifts on time.
• Transports participants to medical appointments, approved activities, and program locations.
• Assists in the implementation of recreational activities for program participants, participating where appropriate
• Ensures the facility is kept clean and in working order
• Ensures participant medication is processed upon arrival, monitors residents self-administration and documents medications taken.
• Uploads documents to the program participants electronic medical record as assigned
• Assists other WestCare staff as needed to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community
• Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Kentucky
• Performs other duties as assigned
