Job summary

WESTCARE KENTUCKY INC in Elkhorn City, KY seeks a Residential advisor/preceptor to support the daily activities of participants in our residential program, document all on-site and off-site activities, and help maintain safety and policy compliance.

The role trains new direct care staff, ensures court orders are added to the EMR, and assists with assessments, transportation, and medication processing, while promoting a professional image.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED required; related behavioral health certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily activities of program participants.
• Train new direct care staff.
• Add court orders and client information to the EMR.
• Review tasks and verify accuracy under program director.
• Document participant activities in the EMR.
• Facilitate and document non-clinical groups as directed.
• Apply approved crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate situations.
• Implement behavioral/level systems where applicable.
• Assist with initial assessments and intake of new participants.
• Transport participants to appointments and activities.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and order.
• Process participant medications on arrival and monitor self-administration.
• Upload documents to EMR as assigned.
• Support WestCare staff to promote teamwork and a professional image.
