Job summary

CAMBA is seeking staff to support clients in residence, maintaining confidentiality and following health and safety protocols. The role includes assisting with bed-checks, dorm inspections, and distributing supplies, while ensuring meals and facilities are prepared and safe for clients.

Prepare and escort clients as needed, monitor behavior, and support social events. This position requires adherence to agency policies and teamwork within a shelter environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client confidentiality and professional relationships.
• Follow Universal Precautions and health procedures.
• Comply with federal, state, city, and CAMBA privacy policies.
• Inform clients of program changes in meetings.
• Assist with nightly bed-checks.
• Conduct dorm inspections to enforce policies.
• Intervene and diffuse inappropriate client interactions.
• Monitor client behavior and report changes to supervisor.
• Ensure delivery of personal and laundry products weekly.
• Sort, bag, and distribute bed linens and towels.
• Monitor laundry facilities and dryer use for new clients.
• Prepare and store client belongings securely.
• Escort clients as needed.
• Check food deliveries and prepare mealtime setups.
• Set up coffee and hot water; assist with meals.
• Plan and facilitate social or peer support events.
