Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Residential Aide to support residents at the Landing Family Shelter in Queens, NY. Under supervision, you will help clients develop daily living skills and maintain a clean, safe living environment.

You will assist with meals, laundry, personal care and orientation to available services while upholding privacy and security policies. A strong sense of compassion and reliability is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Bilingual in any language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in developing daily living skills (ADL) such as laundry, meals, hygiene and scheduling of activities.
• Maintain food and dry goods inventory and assist with kitchen tasks.
• Orient clients to facility, services and available personal care items; ensure confidentiality.
