Job summary

Lifeskills Behavioral Health in Deerfield Beach, FL seeks a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support clients with substance use and mental health needs. You will maintain a therapeutic milieu, monitor safety, and document client records while collaborating with a clinical team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; drug/alcohol certification preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience working with clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License; CPR/First Aid certification required or within 30 days of employment.
• TB test clearance is required.
• Ability to move up to 25 pounds and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client safety at all times and monitor client behavior during shifts.
• Transport clients to appointments and provide structured residence supervision.
• Document client records accurately and communicate with clinical team.
• Promote a therapeutic milieu and adhere to DBT-based interventions.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to facilitate groups and discharge planning.
