Job summary

Lifeskills Behavioral Health is seeking an entry-level Behavioral Health Technician for our Deerfield Beach, FL location. This role supports residents in a 24-hour staffed residential program, assisting with daily living activities and therapeutic engagement.

The position requires a high school diploma, a Florida driver’s license, and solid teamwork skills to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for clients on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; drug and alcohol certification preferred or willing to complete within the orientation period.
Requires 2+ years’ experience working with clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues.
Valid Florida Driver’s License.
Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete within the first 30 days of employment.
TB test clearance.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with clinical team to determine appropriate interventions based on the needs of individual clients.
Promotes a therapeutic milieu by supervising residents and ensuring client safety during shifts.
Documents client records and shift reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Greet clients and interact with them respectfully to support recovery goals.
Transport clients to appointments and assist with daily living activities as needed.
