Job summary

Lifeskills Behavioral Health seeks a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician for our Deerfield Beach location. The role supports clients, maintains a safe milieu, and collaborates with the clinical team to deliver compassionate care.

The position requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in mental health/substance use settings, and a valid Florida driver’s license. CPR/First Aid certification is required or obtained within 30 days, with shifts across all day parts.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years’ experience working with clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to complete within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client safety at all times; monitor and record client behavior during shift.
• Transport clients to appointments and assist with community activities.
• Document in electronic records and communicate with clinical team.
• Assist with DBT interventions and crisis de-escalation as needed.
• Support medication management and disclosure of pertinent information to supervisors.
