Job summary

Phipps Neighborhoods, the social service affiliate of Phipps Houses, is seeking a Residential Aide for a full-time, on-site role in Bronx, NY. The position includes front door security, supervising residents in SRO, and facilitating a secure, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, directing calls, assisting with intakes, preparing intake packages, conducting tours, managing fire safety, and reporting incidents.

Qualifications

• New York State Security Guard License is required.
• 8 Hour and 16 Hour Security Guard certifications required.
• Candidate must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Monitors all residents, staff and visitors entering and leaving the facility.
• Answers telephone and directs calls to appropriate staff member and/or department.
• Welcomes and introduces new clients and conducts initial intakes when onsite counselor is unavailable.
• Prepare intake packages for new clients.
• Conducts tours of the facility and maintains fire safety procedures.
