Job summary

Erickson Senior Living in Highland Springs is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to manage vehicle usage, maintenance records, inspections, repairs, safety equipment, and trip documentation for the community motor pool.

You will prepare and track vehicles, assist with transporting residents and staff, and maintain the daily transportation schedule. The role includes on-call duties and training on wheelchair securement and safe driving practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year transportation services experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Office experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and tracks vehicles for usage, ensuring availability when needed
• Assists with transporting residents and staff, including those in wheelchairs
• Helps maintain the daily transportation schedule
• Enters transportation trips into the work order billing system
• Prepares driver schedules and monitors requests for changes
• Handles on-call duty as assigned by the Supervisor
• Provides training on wheelchair securement and safe driving practices
• Assists with minor vehicle repairs as appropriate
• Performs additional duties as requested to ensure efficient department operations
