Job summary

Highland Springs by Erickson Senior Living in North Dallas, Texas is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to manage the community motor pool, vehicle usage, maintenance records, inspections and trip documentation. You will transport residents and staff, including those in wheelchairs, and help maintain the daily transportation schedule while entering trips into the billing system and handling driver scheduling.

The role requires 1 year in transportation and a valid license.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in transportation services.
  • Valid State driver’s license and maintained as a condition of employment.
  • DOT Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate required or obtainable prior to starting.
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and tracks vehicles for usage, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Assists with transporting residents and staff, including those in wheelchairs.
  • Helps maintain the daily transportation schedule.
  • Enters transportation trips into the work order billing system.
  • Prepares driver schedules and monitors requests for changes.
  • Handles on-call duty as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Provides training on wheelchair securement and safe driving practices.
  • Assists with minor vehicle repairs as appropriate.
  • Performs additional duties as requested to ensure efficient department operations.

How you will make an impact

What you will need
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in transportation services required
  • Strong Computer skills
  • Office experience is preferred
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to drive.
  • Valid State driver’s license. This license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain prior to starting, a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate indicating successful completion of a D.O.T. Physical Examination. This certificate must be maintained as a condition of employment.

Compensation: commensurate with experience, range starting at $20.00 per hour.
