Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Highland Springs community in North Dallas, TX is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to manage vehicle usage, maintenance records, inspections, and trip documentation for the community motor pool. You will ensure availability of vehicles and assist with resident and staff transports, including wheelchair passengers.

Responsibilities include coordinating driver schedules, entering trips into the billing system, training on wheelchair securement and safe driving, and

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in transportation services.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a current and valid DOT Physical/Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Valid State driver's license required and to be maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and tracks vehicles for usage, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Assists with transporting residents and staff, including those in wheelchairs.
  • Helps maintain the daily transportation schedule.
  • Enters transportation trips into the work order billing system.
  • Prepares driver schedules and monitors requests for changes.
  • Handles on-call duty as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Provides training on wheelchair securement and safe driving practices.
  • Assists with minor vehicle repairs as appropriate.

Location: Highland Springs by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Transportation Coordinator! You will manage vehicle usage, maintenance records, inspections, repairs, safety equipment, and all trip documentation for the community motor pool.

How you will make an impact

What you will need
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in transportation services required
  • Strong Computer skills
  • Office experience is preferred
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to drive.
  • Valid State driver's license. This license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain prior to starting, a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner's Certificate indicating successful completion of a D.O.T. Physical Examination. This certificate must be maintained as a condition of employment.

Compensation: commensurate with experience, range starting at $20.00 per hour.
