Job summary

Smith County Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Transportation Aide to support residents by safely transporting them to appointments and assisting them in and out of vehicles. You will help create a warm, supportive environment on-site when not on the road, assisting the care team and ensuring comfort during trips.

Active CNA preferred and CPR certification required. A valid driver9;s license with a clean record is essential to perform duties in a facility setting.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid State Drivers License with clean driving record.
• Strong independence & decision-making skills.
• Clear & professional communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Confirm and make doctors9; appointments for residents.
• Assist in making arrangements and providing transportation to appointments, community events, and other outings as needed.
• Notify family members of arrangements regarding appointments.
• Perform clerical tasks, including processing administrative transfers and discharges.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
• Utilize proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting residents.
