Job summary

Community Housing Innovations (CHI) is seeking a full-time Resident Support Specialist for our Commack location to provide a safe, structured environment for residents and staff. You will coordinate resident movement, monitor conduct, and document interventions while performing front desk duties and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include rounds, logs, and coordinating with management. Strong communication skills required; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency in English; bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, structured environment for residents and staff.
• Screen clients and visitors entering the facility; perform bag searches as required.
• De-escalate crises and document interventions; conduct rounds and logs.
• Support front desk operations and video surveillance monitoring; assist with drills.
• Assist with room turnover, inventory, and maintenance reporting as needed.
