Job summary

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. (CHI) is hiring a full-time Resident Support Specialist for the Middle Country location. You will provide a safe, structured environment for residents and staff, coordinate client movement, and monitor conduct during tours.

The role includes front desk duties, safety monitoring, and light maintenance tasks. Requires HS diploma, 1–2 years’ related experience, and strong communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1-2 years in related field preferred.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency required; Spanish a plus.
• Computer Skills: Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, and internet usage.
• Physical/Reasoning: Ability to tour property, walk distances, climb stairs; prioritize and make decisions.
• Other Skills: Able to work independently or on a team, stay organized, meet deadlines, and handle pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, structured environment for CHI residents and staff.
• Coordinate and verify client movement and monitor conduct during tours.
• Perform administrative tasks at the front desk and maintain logs.
• Monitor surveillance, assist with fire drills, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Assist with room turnover, inventory, and reporting facility conditions.
