Job summary

Community Housing Innovations (CHI) seeks a full-time floating Resident Support Specialist for the Middle Island location. You will help maintain a safe, supervised environment, screen clients, conduct rounds, and support afterschool activities while traveling to other sites as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and 1–2 years of related experience; bilingual Spanish is a plus and exact shifts are listed as open Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related field experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, structured environment for CHI residents and staff.
• Coordinate client movement and monitor conduct during tours.
• Screen clients/visitors and perform regular safety checks.
• Complete logs, incident reports and front desk duties.
• Support afterschool/evening activities and fire safety procedures.
• Maintain supplies and report facility conditions to management.
