Community Housing Innovations, Inc. (CHI) is seeking a part-time Resident Support Specialist for our Coram location. You will maintain a safe, structured environment for residents and staff, monitor activity, and support front desk operations.

The role includes conducting rounds, screening entrants, de-escalating crises, and coordinating with management to ensure policy adherence. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years of related experience, and strong English

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, and internet usage.

Responsabilités

• Maintain visibility to residents, staff, and visitors while wearing safety gear.
• Screen clients and visitors entering the facility and conduct bag searches as needed.
• De-escalate potential crises and document interventions.
• Complete logs, incident reports, and front desk duties.
• Monitor security systems and assist with fire drills and evacuations.
• Assist with room turnover and inventory of supplies; report facility conditions.
