Job summary

Related Affordable spearheads Related's mission to preserve and expand affordable housing nationwide. The Resident Service Coordinator supports residents in maintaining independence, health outcomes, and community engagement at Garden Gates, a large 240-unit affordable community.

The role focuses on connecting residents to essential services, educating them on eligibility, and fostering a resident-centered environment with cross-functional collaboration and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
• At least 2 years of experience in resident/social service programs.
• Strong knowledge of local community resources and federal/state programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based reporting systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive issues professionally.
• Passion for social action and preservation of affordable housing.
• Accountsability and cross-functional collaboration with a resident-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized assistance to residents by identifying and connecting to services.
• Educate residents on services, eligibility, and application processes.
• Organize activities to encourage engagement and a supportive network.
• Act as liaison between residents, management, and external providers.
• Maintain confidential resident files and prepare quarterly summaries.
• Advocate for residents by facilitating access and negotiating with providers.
• Collaborate with property management to plan events and volunteer programs.
