Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing financial and operational facets of the community. You will handle file management and data entry with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities include managing resident requests, processing deposits and applications, maintaining property records, and coordinating evictions with counsel when needed. This role emphasizes strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in the property management industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional and courteous in a fast-paced environment
• Organizational skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Oversee file management and run assigned reports
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident requests
• Collect all monies due and oversee evictions, skips, and move-outs by inspecting units
• Communicate with outside legal counsel during eviction processes
• Finalize move in/out and renewals files and enter data into property management software
• Oversee resident renter’s insurance procedure
• Collect deposits and process applications from future residents
• Ensure model/target apartments are ready for show and maintain a clean workspace
• Maintain knowledge of lease terms, unit specs, availability, market conditions and policies
• Maintain contact with apartment locator services and local businesses
• "Shop" surrounding properties and conduct outreach marketing
• Develop and maintain resident retention programs
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
