Job summary

Gateway Community Action Partnership in Atlantic City, NJ, seeks a part-time Supportive Housing Coordinator to support its housing programs. You will perform administrative duties, manage resident files, and help connect residents with mental health services, employment resources, and legal aid.

You will assist with eviction prevention, tenant education, landlord mediation, and conflict resolution, while coordinating monthly resident events and newsletters.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a customer friendly business.
• One-year experience in a management position.
• Knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office programs.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
• Access to an insured vehicle daily.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: provide admin assistance to the Supportive Housing Director to support daily operations of the programs.
• Maintain resident files and assist with completing and updating resident needs assessments.
• Assist residents with referrals to mental health services, employment resources, legal aid, and other community-based services.
• Provide eviction prevention, crisis intervention, and housing-stability support.
• Provide tenant rights education and aid landlord communication and mediation.
• Assist with resolving resident concerns and refer individuals to appropriate services.
• Coordinate and assist with monthly on-site resident events, educational workshops, activities and meetings.
• Prepare and distribute monthly apartment newsletters highlighting activities and services.
• Attend CEAS meetings as needed.
• Attend meetings with the Supportive Housing Director and submit monthly reports.
