Job summary

Covenant House New Jersey is seeking an AmeriCorps member in Atlantic City to support young people experiencing homelessness. The role involves providing case management services, conducting assessments, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment while helping youth achieve their goals in housing, health, and education.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work and be skilled in communication and relationship building. A valid NJ driver's license is also required. Benefits include a living allowance and educational award.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid NJ driver’s license and good driving record.
• Preferred experience with young people ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness or human trafficking.
• Knowledge of adolescent development and ability to build positive rapport.

Responsibilities

• Provide unconditional positive regard to young people.
• Conduct all required assessments and document in file and data systems.
• Engage in positive transition planning with young people.
