Job summary

Mercy Housing in Glendale, AZ is seeking a compassionate Resident Services Coordinator II to support residents at Vista Alegre, an affordable housing community for seniors. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in community development, social services, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with residents and help connect them with helpful resources and services.
• Support residents using a trauma-informed and compassionate approach.
• Have thoughtful and sometimes difficult conversations with residents while providing excellent customer service.
• Get to know the community by conducting needs assessments, attending community meetings, and listening to residents.
• Plan and lead programs, activities, and events that support resident well-being and stability.
• Track program participation and outcomes and enter required information into Mercy Housing's database.
• Help meet reporting requirements for programs and funding partners.
• Evaluate programs and services to understand what's working and where improvements can be made.
• Partner with community organizations and agencies to connect residents with additional resources.
• Support and organize the community food pantry, including preparing and occasionally delivering food boxes to residents.
• Help maintain clean and welcoming spaces, including the community room, kitchen, pantry, and office.
• Get out into the community - you'll distribute flyers and other information directly to residents, including occasional door-to-door outreach.
• Participate in Mercy Housing activities and collaborate with community partners.
• Take on other projects and responsibilities as needed.
