Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Service Coordinator to support Garden Terrace and Larry Moore Manor in Union City, GA. This full-time role focuses on coordinating resident programs, connecting residents with services, and advocating for quality of life.

You will liaise with community agencies, develop resource directories, sponsor health and life-skills events, and deliver responsive customer service to seniors living in the two properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience delivering social services to elderly and/or family populations preferred.
• Working knowledge of supportive services and local community resources.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver measurable results for residents.

Responsibilities

• Advocate, organize, problem-solve and deliver results for residents.
• Coordinate programs and activities for residents.
• Serve as liaison to community agencies and network with service providers.
• Identify low-cost service providers and negotiate discounts.
• Engage residents to identify needs and refer to community agencies.
• Develop a resource directory of local providers.
• Sponsor educational events on health care, life skills and referrals.
• Provide quality customer service and assist with basic needs.
• Assist residents in accessing services such as housing, meals, transportation, personal services, financial assistance, daycare counseling.
• Monitor feedback from residents and families; relay to appropriate parties.
• Manage relationships internally and externally with strong communication.
