Job summary

National Church Residences seeks a Service Coordinator to advocate for residents, coordinate programs and activities, and liaise with community agencies to access services in Niagara Falls. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Two+ years of social services experience for elderly or family populations preferred.
• Working knowledge of supportive services and local resources.

Responsibilities

• Advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver results for residents.
• Coordinate programs and activities for residents.
• Liaise with community agencies and seek out new services for residents.
• Identify low-cost providers and negotiate discounts.
• Engage residents to identify needs and refer to community services.
• Develop a Resource Directory of state/local service providers.
• Sponsor educational events on health care, agency support, and life skills.
• Provide quality customer service and assist with basic needs.
• Assist residents with housekeeping, meals, transportation, and other services.
• Monitor feedback from residents and families; maintain relationships.
