Job summary

Penquis in Bangor, ME is seeking a full-time Resident Services Coordinator to work with affordable housing locations and management agents, providing service coordination and referral resources to tenants in a hybrid role based out of the Bangor office.

You will inform residents of available services, assess needs, connect to community resources, advocate for residents, and liaise between residents, staff, and providers to support tenancy stability and success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is preferred.
• Working knowledge of area resources for low-income individuals.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass Penquis background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inform residents of available services via written, telephone, and in-person communications.
• Develop and maintain referral resources lists for each property.
• Assess household needs and provide appropriate referrals and advocacy.
• Act as liaison between residents, management, and community providers.
