Job summary

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington seeks a Resident Coordinator to staff the front desk at Nativity House Apartments, a 50-unit affordable housing program that uses Housing First principles. This on-site role provides monitoring, staff support, and assistance to residents, guests and visitors around the clock.

Responsibilities include answering phones, enforcing policies, safety checks, documenting events, and coordinating with the Property Manager and case management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Pass background checks.
• Proof of negative TB test within the past 12 months.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals displaying a wide range of behaviors.
• Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to make sound, independent decisions without direct supervision.
• Proven reliability and dependability in work history.
• Flexibility to ensure adequate shift coverage.

Responsibilities

• Staff the front desk, answer calls, and monitor building security; enforce program policies with residents, guests, and visitors.
• Conduct routine safety checks of entry and exit points.
• Ensure upkeep of common areas and report issues related to appliances, plumbing, heating, or electrical systems.
• Monitor behavior, maintain documentation of visitors and events, and model respectful interactions.
• Maintain a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment.
• Provide residents with information about on-site and public services.
• Report program violations to the Program Supervisor/Property Manager.
• Assist the Resident Property Manager with administrative tasks.
• Respond to emergencies related to facilities or residents.
• Accept and distribute messages and packages.
• Support case management by reminding residents of appointments and promoting cleanliness.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing per tasks list.
• Conduct rounds and alarm checks across the facility.
• Provide residents services and information.
