Catholic Housing Services (CHS) operates Tumwater Apartments, a HUD 202 project with 50 units serving elderly or disabled residents. The Resident Services Coordinator creates community, connects residents to services, and collaborates with on-site and off-site staff to meet housing needs and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience with seniors or people with special needs
• BA or BSW in social service field
• Independent worker with minimal supervision
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach and engagement services to residents and assist with services
• Coordinate with on-site manager to monitor residents and address lease/house rules violations
• Assist residents in applying for needed resources (income, health care, employment, etc.)
• Develop relationships with community resources (health clinics, counseling, ESL, etc.)
• Educate residents on service availability and procedures for resources
• Advocate for residents and monitor effectiveness of services
