Job summary

The Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority (Raise Up) seeks a dedicated Resident Services Coordinator to assess resident needs, link to community services, and promote self-sufficiency. You will build partnerships with agencies, support lease compliance, and help residents access job training, health, and education resources.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Associates degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred) in Social Work, Social and Human Services or related studies plus one year of case management experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and the public.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Property Managers, Resident Services Supervisor, and Raise Up Executive Management to determine the greatest needs of residents.
• Develop, implement, and deliver optimal supportive services at Raise Up properties.
• Visits resident households to conduct intake processing, assess needs, explain services, develop case plans, and refer to providers.
• Maintains collaborations with local, state, and federal agencies and other organizations to secure services.
• Maintains a database of service agencies and assist residents in fulfilling community service requirements.
• Develops programs to educate residents on timely rent payments and eviction prevention.
• Develops housekeeping program to educate residents on cleanliness and lease compliance.
• Serves as liaison between residents and Property Manager/service providers to reduce eviction risk.
• Participates in Reasonable Accommodations, VAWA, and other special needs processes.
• Sponsors educational and community-building events and represents Raise Up at community events.
• Maintains files and prepares reports for management and HUD.
• Organizes and maintains Raise Up's Resident Councils and related boards, ensuring meetings and finances are managed.
• Assists with meeting agendas, speaker scheduling, and board development.
• Develops long-range goals for resident organizations and facilitates information exchange.
