Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to guide participants through the Housing Choice Voucher Program and coordinate with landlords. You will interview, issue vouchers, and manage eligibility, while maintaining files and computing rents.

The role requires an Associate's degree with customer service or rent determination experience, basic math, and the ability to learn Raise Up software.

Formación

• Associate's degree and 1 year of customer service experience or rent determination experience.
• Ability to learn Raise Up software and HUD regulations.
• Basic math, strong documentation, and confidentiality.
• Ohio driver's license and occupancy certification within 18 months; Spanish a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews participants, processes vouchers, and handles annual reviews.
• Maintains participant files and eligibility for HCV program.
• Computes lease/rent amounts, recertifications, and interim changes.
• Explains policies to landlords and participants and documents reasoning.
• Attends trainings and meetings with partner agencies and supervisors.
• Performs clerical tasks and provides excellent customer service.
• Ensures accuracy through self-audits and data verification.
