Job summary

Egis, in partnership with Lochner, seeks a Resident Project Representative to provide construction administration and observation in the Western United States. You will ensure adherence to plans, specs, and codes while coordinating with owners, consultants, and contractors.

Travel across the Western US is required; strong communication and documentation skills are essential to manage records and support project success.

Qualifications

  • Five years of experience as a construction manager/inspector on transportation and/or airport projects.
  • Familiarity with heavy civil construction and airport systems.
  • Experience in construction materials testing and surveying preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily site inspections to verify compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
  • Coordinate field communications with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulators.
  • Measure and record pay quantities and prepare daily reports.
  • Review contractor schedules and wage rate compliance.
  • Coordinate third-party material testing and manage project records.

The Resident Project Representative will provide construction administration and observation services in the Western US, serving multiple company offices.

The Impact You'll Make
  • Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes
  • Coordinate and communicate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies
  • Measure and record pay quantities
  • Prepare daily reports
  • Review the Contractor's schedule
  • Perform Wage Rate compliance interviews and documentation
  • Coordinate 3rd-party material testing inspections
  • Review and provide input on potential change order issues
  • Maintain project records
  • Manage project photographic records
  • Verification of construction staking surveys
  • Travel throughout the Western US is required
The Expertise You'll Bring
  • Five years of experience as a construction manager/inspector working on transportation and/or airport related projects
  • Understanding and familiarity with heavy civil construction projects, airport systems and operation
  • Prefer experience in construction materials testing and/or construction surveying
  • Proficiency in MS WORD and Excel along with excellent written and oral communication skills
